John Middlemist achieves PgMP

On 6th May 2008, John Middlemist became the 1st person in Australia to achieve the prestigious Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation as Program Management Professional (PgMP). This is a new accreditation that has recently been introduced by the PMI for Program Managers. As at 7th May 2008, there are 71 accredited PgMPs worldwide.

The accreditation process is done in 3 phases, where the candidate needs to pass a phase before being allowed to move to the next area. The 1st phase involves a panel review of the candidates experience and responses to a series of Program Management based scenarios. Phase 2 involves a 4 hour examination on Program Management Standards. The final phase involves a Multi Rater Assessment by 12 selected referees (similar to a 360 degree review) who assess the candidate against 74 statements relating to Program Management.
